Türkiye Company Work Permit
A foreign national must obtain a work permit in order to legally earn income in Turkey. Türkiye company work permit can be issued for a limited or indefinite period. Temporary work permit is given for a certain period of time, depending on the duration of the contract between the person and the employer. First work permit applications are generally determined for 1 year. This period is extended with applications made in subsequent years. Application content, job status, and the country's current employment policy affect the outcome of the application.
For an indefinite work permit, the person must either have had a work permit for 6 years without a break or have earned the right to a long-term residence permit in Turkey by residing in Turkey for 8 years without a break. A foreign national can apply for a work permit within the scope of the company he has an agreement with. The person who wants to obtain a company work permit must be a university graduate and document this with a diploma. Otherwise, it is not possible to progress through these positions. A foreigner cannot work in every position in a company, and according to the scope described in the law, the expectation is defined as a job that a Turk cannot do. They mostly work in sales and marketing departments within the company, and they must present their qualifications for this position with their diplomas.
Applications for company work permits are made after creating a company registration through the online system of the Ministry of Labor. The company must be registered in this system and applications can be made through it. Afterwards, an application is made for the person to be recruited. What is really needed here is the company's electronic signature. Thanks to this signature, all transactions are carried out. Documents are scanned and uploaded to the application system. No actual paper transactions are made by hand. Insurance entry must be made after the person's work permit approval is received.
The company work permit also gives the person the right to a residence permit for the same period. The person can reside in Turkey for the duration of the work permit given to him/her. In addition, they are also given the right to live with their family by applying for a family residence permit. The person has the right to apply for a family residence permit for his/her legal spouse and children under the age of 18.
Türkiye Company Work Permit Types
Company work permit applications can be made both domestically and internationally. In order to apply domestically, the person must have a valid residence permit. The remaining time of the residence permit does not matter and applications can be made even on the last day. Then, a work permit application will be made and when it is approved, insurance entry will be made. In this way, the person can work and reside in Turkey during the leave granted to him/her. If the applications will be made from abroad, the application process will be carried out through the embassy or consulate in the country where the application is located.
The application process here will be carried out simultaneously with the application to the consulate; When the first approval comes from the consulate, the application will be examined based on the documents, but before that, the application process here will be carried out via electronic signature. Afterwards, a work visa will be printed on the person's passport and he/she will be able to enter Turkey. Following this entry, insurance entry must be made for the person within 30 days. After this entry, the person will start working legally. A work permit card linked to the work permit must be obtained for the person.
