Türkiye Indefinite Work Permit
Foreign nationals who want to work in Turkey are legally required to obtain permission. This type of permit is also called work permit. A work permit can be given for a temporary or indefinite period, depending on whether the person meets the conditions. In order to obtain an indefinite work permit, the person must:
• Having worked continuously for 6 years with a work permit
• Must have resided in Turkey for 8 years uninterruptedly.
If he meets one of these conditions, he is entitled to apply for an indefinite work permit. Thanks to this permit, people can continue to work without interruption without needing to apply for renewal every year.

Applications for indefinite work permits have the same stages as permanent work permits. If the person has earned the right to an indefinite work permit by obtaining a 6-year uninterrupted work permit, then an application for an extension to the ongoing permit will be made. The person does not need an extra residence permit to apply. Since the work permit also provides the right to a residence permit during the given period, when the work permit is granted indefinitely, an indefinite residence permit is automatically obtained. If the person has a work permit, then he/she has the right to bring his/her spouse and children under the age of 18 to the country by obtaining a family residence permit.
People who have resided in Turkey uninterruptedly for 8 years can also apply for an indefinite work permit. People who have resided uninterruptedly for 8 years also have a long-term residence permit. For people who will apply through this category, the work permit will start from the beginning. An employment contract is signed between the hiring company and the person. Based on this, the employer applies for an indefinite work permit for the person.
In both conditions specified in the indefinite work permit category, the person actually resides in Turkey. For this reason, all applications in this application category are carried out domestically. International applications are not valid for this category. Work permit applications are carried out online with electronic signature. Applications for an indefinite work permit are made through the Ministry of Labor and Social Security system. Applications made in this category are more difficult than the temporary work permit category, and the process is more delicate and frequent.

Work permit applications
Even if individuals are granted the right to an indefinite work permit, the Republic of Turkey reserves the right to cancel this permit in cases that contradict legally determined obligations. People with indefinite work permits are registered for insurance and paid regularly through the social security institution every month. This insurance payment belongs to the employer. The minimum monthly wage and insurance required vary depending on the line of work and position.
Work permit applications cannot be accepted in every category or business line. The expectation that must be met legally is that a Turk cannot do it or that it is a specifically specialized business line. In addition, the company that will apply must have at least 5 Turkish employees and a paid-in capital of 100.00 TL. You should consider plus 5 Turkish employees for each foreigner. The salaries to be paid by companies wishing to employ foreign workers are also determined within the scope of the law, and they are required to pay within this scope.
